Wrongful death case

An apartment complex was sued when a fire resulted in the death of two children and injuries to another child and their mother. Plaintiff made allegations that there were no working fire alarms and inadequate exits from the apartment.

Medical malpractice case

A hospital and a doctor were sued for releasing a patient from the emergency room when the possibility of an aneurysm was present. The patient subsequently died after not returning to the emergency room as instructed.

Product liability case

A manufacture of a hot water heater was sued for injuries to a child. The plaintiff alleged that the thermostat allowed the water to obtain an excessive temperature. A two year child was significantly scalded when his five year brother placed him the bath tub. The defendant claimed inadequate parental supervision.

Auto accident between an automobile and a truck that lost control on interstate highway resulting in spinal fusion surgery for the plaintiff. Several Medical malpractice suits against hospitals and medical staff for catastrophic birth injuries.

Sample cases as lead attorney

Defended a scuba instructor when a student developed a pulmonary embolism during a training exercise and subsequently died. The victory in the trial court was reversed on appeal resulting in change in the law of the state of Tennessee for choice of law in wrongful death cases.

Represented plaintiff in wrongful death case as a result of automobile accident between decedent, dump truck and tractor trailer on interstate highway. Obtained the largest verdict for a plaintiff in that county at that time.
